Student Council

Delhi Public School HRIT Campus conducted the Students' Council Elections for the session 2019-2020 on 18.08.2019. The DPSians casted their votes and elected their own student leaders -- the HeadBoy, HeadGirl, Vice-HeadBoy, Vice-HeadGirl, Captains and the Vice-Captains of the 4 houses- Aryabhatta, CV Raman, Ramanujam , APJ Abdul Kalam and Disciplinary Incharge– in a most democratic fashion.

On the morning of the elections, one by one, the pupils entered the school lobby, now converted into a polling station, complete with a table for the election staff, a waiting area, a polling booth and a ballot box. The students came equipped with their ID cards. Their names had to be checked against a list, and their ID had to be stamped at the time of their vote. At the table of the election staff they received slips for the candidates. Then they waited their turn before being escorted to the voting booth, where they could make their choice in the utmost privacy.

Our Honourable Chief Guest, ADM City Ghaziabad, Mr. Shailendra Kumar Singh graced the occasion. Special guests, Honourable Member of Parliament &  Chairman , Mr. Anil Agarwal , Vice Chairman, Mr. Anjul Aggarwal, Managing Director, Ms. Vaishali Aggarwal and Principal, Ms. Nandini Shekhar were  present during the ceremony.The elections were held in a smooth manner. The teachers as well as the students were equally enthusiastic about the event. After the voting was over the process of counting began. The results were finally declared to the eager students and the teachers alike. The winning candidates were then congratulated by the special guests.
